The Snorfle app

The app doesn’t collect any data from you. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and we receive nothing about you or what you read.

• Your folders, saved pages and EPUBs are built and kept on your own device. They are not uploaded to us.
• When you save a web page or RSS feed, the app fetches it directly from that website, as a browser would. That website can see the request, and its own privacy policy applies.
• If you share an EPUB to another app, such as the Kindle app, or send it to an e-reader, that app or device handles it under its own terms.

This website

This website uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, so we can see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It doesn’t track you across websites or build a profile of you.

According to GoatCounter’s documentation:

• It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser (no localStorage or cache entries).
• Your IP address and full User-Agent are not stored. They are used briefly to tell repeat visits from new ones: a random ID is mapped to them in memory only, for up to 8 hours, and then forgotten.
• It keeps only aggregate counts: the page visited, the referring website, browser and version, operating system, country (worked out from your IP address), language and screen width.
• It doesn’t share information with third parties.

GoatCounter is run by Martin Tournoij in Ireland. Its servers are with Hetzner Online GmbH in Finland and Germany. You can read GoatCounter’s privacy policy for the details.

Because no personal data is collected and no cookies are used, this site doesn’t show a cookie banner. Our legal basis for counting visits is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used. If you use a browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts, the site works exactly the same.

This website uses fonts served from the site itself, so your browser doesn’t contact Google or any other third party to load them.

Your rights

We don’t hold personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you think otherwise, or have any other privacy question, please get in touch via support.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
